In this tutorial, we'll look at the different ways I usually draw werewolf hands. The hands can be drawn as either human-shaped, or paw-like. I won't go into how to actually draw hands in this tutorial since I've already done one on human hands. If you can draw human hands already, then this tutorial is just a step up from that. If you can't draw hands well, I suggest you learn first. |

The simplest way to do a werewolf's hand is to modify a human hand. Draw a human hand, then add in paw padding, longer fingernails, and fur. It doesn't take much and looks pretty decent. Here is a front and back view. Notice the paw pads. This is only one method of doing them (it's how I do them).

This is another method I've seen, although it isn't entirely realistic since a wolf's paw only has the four toe pads and the "palm" pad. However, I encourage you to choose what YOU like. After all, you should try to develop your own style.

This is a neat effect to make the paw pads of the fingrs look more realistic. Draw the pad on the bottom of the finger, and then draw a jagged furry line around the edges of the paw pad. This makes the fur look as though it had stopped at this point. If you were going for a shorter fur length, then either shorten the jagged lines, or don't draw them at all.

This is the more paw-like werewolf hand. All you really do for this style is to shorten the fingers up a lot and make them a bit thicker. I usually try to draw the fingers the same way I draw the toes. The effect seems to work a lot better that way, and it looks more animal-like.

For reference purposes, I've drawn an actual wolf's fore-leg. If you want to darw the paw-like werewolf hands and you can't really draw wolf paws/toes, I suggest practicing.
